Instructions for setting up email in Outlook 2003

 

  1. Open Outlook 2003
  2. Go to Tools menu and select Email Accounts
  3. A new dialog box should appear, select the Add a new E-mail account as shown below

 

 

  1. Click on Next
  2. Select POP3 as shown in the dialog box below

 

 

  1. Click Next
  2. Enter your name, first and last, your @rapidwave.net email address, the server names mail.rapidwave.net for both Incoming and Outgoing in the dialog box as shown below.
    Enter you username and password too.

 

 

  1. Click on the button More Settings…

 

  1. Click on the Tab Outgoing Server and then select the check box My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication as shown below

 

 

  1. Click Ok

 

  1. Click Next

 

  1. Click Finish

 

 

You are now set up to send and receive from your Rapidwave mailbox using Outlook 2003. Mail that you receive with Outlook 2003 will be removed from our server and stored on your personal computer. Be sure to back up your Outlook 2003 personal folder in case disaster strikes your machine or you might be at risk to lose your email!
