Instructions for setting up email in Microsoft Outlook

 

  1. Open Microsoft Outlook. Your version of Outlook might look slightly different, but it should have the same configuration fields.
  2. Go to Tools menu and select Email Accounts or Account Settings.
  3. A new dialog box should appear, select the Add a new E-mail account as shown below (Your client may look different. You want to look for an option to add a new email account).

 

 

  1. Click on Next
  2. Select POP3 as shown in the dialog box below

 

 

  1. Click Next
  2. Enter your name, first and last, your @rapidwave.net email address, the server name "mail.rapidwave.net" for both Incoming and Outgoing in the dialog box as shown below.
    Enter you username and password too. Your username needs to be your FULL email address.

 

  1. Click on the button More Settings…

 

  1. Click on the Tab Outgoing Server and then select the check box My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication as shown below

 

 

  1. Click Ok

 

  1. Click Next

 

  1. Click Finish

 

 

You are now set up to send and receive from your Rapidwave mailbox using Microsoft Outlook. Mail that you receive with Microsoft Outlook will be removed from our server and stored on your personal computer. Be sure to back up your personal folder in case disaster strikes your machine or you might be at risk to lose your email!
